Gervin, the smoothest, funkiest, and SLOWEST player ever. He did everything so nonchalantly that it seemed like he was asleep half the time. It's almost as if he wasn't even trying, and still scored all of those points.. He truly is like ice

Made it all look soooo easy. Think Kareem once said he looks like he's hardly working, then you look up and he has 45.

I agree. Walter Davis and Alex English were smooth too. But Ice is right there, if not the smoothest. Larry Bird said he never saw a smoother player.

Too bad he didn't play in a major market. Why it took him yrs to receive recognition.

no one is saying that, especially not to the point where it holds any weight. Nowadays there are so many blogs and websites quick to compare past nba legends to present no one takes that stuff seriously. Ricky Rubio is the next Pistol, chris paul and blake griffin are the new gary payton and shawn kemp, and the million comparisons to mj. Gervin and Durant are the same build and can shoot, besides that there is no comparison to their games and both are respected for it

It takes true humility , to not take credit for The finger roll. Gervin is a player that has achieved so much by way of his own individuality, that he can give credit to those who he learned from.
