Great job by Ray Allen to help shed a light on type 1 diabetes, because It's a very serious thing. It's not preventable, no one knows it's cause, It lasts your whole life, and it's far more serious than type 2 diabetes. Type 1 has nothing to do with lifestyle choices or obesity, it's a 24/7 commitment.

I can totally relate to Ray, and I'm glad they raised awareness for this disease. I got diagnosed with diabetes about a month ago. It's hard. Many many changes have taken place in my life the day the doctor told me the news. Hopefully Ray opened people's eyes about this. Remember, it's never a bad time to donate.

He went through so much emotional pain and frustration that year and STILL managed to help the Celtics win their 17th championship :)
