It's no bs, that a separate LAN card can off-load your CPU. A card, which costs 23$. And we are talking about REAL good cards for that price. So yeah. It's true that a card may help, but the killer is just a waste of money. A huge waste.

Another thing this card is useful for, is if you like to download things like movies, games, and music but still want to play a game. It will by far better handle downloading tons of stuff and online gaming then your average nic could.It's like graphics. If you have on board graphics, and buy a card that is just as strong as the on board graphics, the separate card will still out perform the onboard because it's taking the stress off the cpu.

This card does work. People with higher end cpu's most likely won't really notice a difference. But. This card is mainly for use when you play games that have alot of players or changes that stay in the game. If you really want to test it out, get trackmania and you will see it work it's magic. Trackmania has hundreds of racers per track. With my normal nic Fully loaded tracks would jitter like no tomorrow. With this nic, runs fine.
