Thank you for the encouragement in the Lord. I was diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease 10 years ago and am a cancer survivor. I am 57 years old and know that more difficult days lie ahead. Your life and attitude inspire me to perservere. God is good.

So, even though the day will come when this disease takes your body, your spirit will live on - not only in heaven, but in the hearts and minds of your fellow aviators, which, if you think the way I do, is not too bad a way to live forever.
I fervently wish you comfort, understanding and love as the days go on, because disese or not, you will always be my brother.

Captain Walling - your courage, composure and positive outlook in the face of adversity are a lesson to us all. Thank you for sharing the story of your life and your relationship with your wife and GOd with us all. Although you and I never flew together, think about this: Your experiences, with hundreds if not thousands of pilots over the course of their career, are carried on every day in cockpits around the world - forming the attitudes, abilities, outlook and experiences of myriad aviators.
