@leojrevlis just came across this by accident (as one does with you-tube). it is a fantastic rendition of both songs, well done.
ps. love the stars, I think that ajt141 is a trile picky!

Well done, but wow, what a weird choice for a High School to do. I thought it was odd to see colleges doing it. (It's a great show but mostly about middle aged people and their problems. Plus you have the problem of the "older" and "younger" casts.)

great rendition of the songs. But, the Ben in this production seems to be nervous instead of reminiscent. Decent singer. Wish I could've been able to hit that high C" note when i did this song. My only other problem with him is that he paces instead of actually acting through this song. And everything seems so utterly fast, even the flashbacks. There is no complaint for Sally. Excellent singing.

the girl sang circles around the boy

I saw this production and she was extraordinary. These are our first moments getting to know Sally and she is putting on her best face. But this young actress portrayed her character's entire emotional journey with skill.
That's nice that it's a trademark, but Follies takes place in a crumbling theater. Kind of takes away the point of the show, don't you think?

Yeah, I thought about that, but strangely.. not one person watching questioned the stars. Like I said, they were subtle, except in Loveland. I guess that SO much of the walls fell away that "you" could see SKY! ;-} BTW, I was the scenic designer... UTT-OH!!

I'm shocked at how well these kids are pulling off Follies, but what's with the stars on the backdrop?

Thanks!.. The stars are really tiny, subtle pinpoints of fiber-optic light, but my crappy camera turns them into LARGE blotches. They're "sort-of" a trademark of this school's productions. Live, they look really pretty, even if it's a artistic "stretch."

She can sing quite well, but I found her acting chops not quite up to speed with the role of Sally.

She played the role with more "optimism" than other's who have attempted the part. Remember, her "Polly-anna" attitude is covering her real feelings.
