  • It's hard to think of a better song or video that captures the frantic exuberance of youth -- at least back in the '80s. I was a freshman in college when this came out and we totally loved this.

  • @charlotteguy7

This happens everyday during lunch in the band room in my school, "QUICK WHIP OUT YOUR TUBA!!!"

  • Thanks! Check out more Fame videos on my channel.

(I'm uploading even more this weekend)

  • Real life would be so much more pleasant if people would spontaneously break out into song & dance like in this scene. In the movies, one person starts, and it ends up brilliantly like this video. In reality, one person starts, and security usually shows up.

  • This would be one kick ass cafetria to be in during high school.

  • I wish we could do somrething like this in my scxhool. If there was a school like this I don't care who I would have to kill to get in

  • Hit #1 on the Billboard dance chart for 1 week with Fame (Irene Cara) & Red Light (Linda Clifford) in Aug 1980

  • how adorable was Irene Cara??

  • This is pure bliss & magic. Blues, pop, rock, & jelly roll piano jazz never sounded so bada**, tasty & fun, served up phenomenally by Irene Cara, Lee Curreri & the film's ensemble cast of musicians, singers, & dancers, improvised with phat sass, sparkling exuberance, & flavor!

  • I went to a school like this!!!! I've played this song on the piano for a chorus as well. It's a damn fun song to play!!

  • @nellielab LOL!! to your first sentence

  • "Get out of my seat, Roger."

  • i think that the new fame (2009) lunch seen beats this by far! thts just my opinion

  • Singing, Acting, Dancing, Drawing, Design (aka Clothes), Instruments, and Writing are #1! Mainly because your born with it. its not something you can just learn. Even Instruments. Its all about Interest and Natural Born Talent.
