Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia (1974) Part 1

Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia (Tráiganme la cabeza de Alfredo García) is a 1974 American action film directed by Sam Peckinpah and featuring Warren Oates, Isela Vega, Robert Webber, Gig Young, Kris Kristofferson, Donnie Fritts and Helmut Dantine. It also features character actors Emilio Fernandez, Jorge Russek and Don Levy used in multiple Peckinpah films.
An American bartender and his prostitute girlfriend go on a road trip through the Mexican underworld to collect a $1 million bounty on the head of a dead gigolo.
Made in Mexico on a low budget after the commercial failure of Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid (1973), Peckinpah claimed that, of all his films, Alfredo García was the only one released as he had intended. The film was a box-office and critical failure at the time, but has gained a new following and stature in the decades since.

gig young on his way to being a drunken idiot...peckinpah probably hired him to be a drinking buddy.

young really a drunken mess, slurring his lines, in GAME OF DEATH---he wound up killing himself and his younger gf/wife.

young was one of those who started out as an mgm contract player, like peter lawford, who also wound up all drunk/coked out.

The first second I saw the pregnant girl, I thought, "Alfredo Garcia got her pregnant and that is going to be what causes all the trouble in the movie". 5 minutes later I thought, "Yeah, I guessed corre- BOOBS!"
