Here is the second half of the live broadcast...
Back in happier days, more than three decades ago, San Francisco newstalk radio station KGO 81 performed a live production (without rehearsal!) of Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL during the annual office holiday party.
Many of the on-air personalities and many behind-the-scenes personnel took to the microphone in a raucous and lively performance. Familiar Bay Area voices include Jim Eason, Owen Spann, Ronn Owens, Al "Jazzbeaux" Collins, Jay Snyder, Ed Baxter, Bob Trebor, Ray Taliaferro, Dr. Tom Hunter, Joe Starkey, Bob Kinsman, Jim Altoff, Kit "Katherine the Great" Lynch, and the legendary "Mayor" Art Finley as Ebenezer Scrooge.
Yes, it sure sounds like more than just the Christmas Spirit was wafting in the air!
@mrk1839 Thanks for the invite, mrk1839, but I don't belong to Facebook. Rothman & Burns weren't at KGO in '79, but I bet many of their listeners were. Let 'em know about this broadcast. Thanks!
