  • I think the real issue is not so much a "romantic" vs. "baroque" interpretation, but the particular style of the pianist. In fact in Bach a large range of interpretations are possible. Generally I tend to prefer a baroque style in Bach than a romantic one. However some pianists, such as Brendel, Argerich or Gavrilov tend to be more "pianistic" than baroque, and yet their Bach is very musical.

  • good playing but he seriously needs alexander technique lessons! The fugue is quite fast but once you get used to the (in my opinion) naff speeds it is pretty enjoyable. I prefer my interpretation and although this is not the best I have heard it's quite good

  • He, Piotr Anderszewski, and Murray Perahia, I would say.

  • Someone should play this to Simone Dinnerstein to show her how to romanticise Bach without self-indulgence.

  • Amazing..

  • Although this is played with a romantic interpretation instead of baroque and many people will criticize it, i personally love the way this is played.

  • I'm seeing different colors, your interpretation is cosmic

  • I never had a concept that this piece could be this beautiful when I played it. amazing.

  • I wonder if he is not the best Bach performer in the world!
