Maggie, my one shining moment

A tribute to our beautiful Maggie who left us On wednesday march 26 2008.

Maggie left us peacefully, in comfort and with dignity. She was were she loved to be the most, at home, surrounded by her family and two very special friends...from Greyhound Rescue Quebec.

A heart of gold stopped beating,
Two shining eyes at rest.
God broke my heart to prove,
He only takes the best.
God knows you had to leave me,
But you are not alone.
For part of me went with you
The day he took you home.

A special thank you to Shirley and Ernest for bringing Maggie in to our lives.

Maggie, you will forever be in our Hearts, and will never be forgotten.

We adopted a fawn colored greyhound a month ago. She came to us from Guam. She is so precious to us and seeing this video just reminded me of why we chose her. There is a special love for greyhounds that one who doesn't have one can't understand. Thank you for such a moving tribute to your Maggie from our Maggie (Magdala).

Afrer having watched your adorable Maggie in your St. Patrick's video last night I watched today your beautiful memorial video. I am so sorry to hear that your Maggie has passed away in 2008 and crossed The Rainbow Bridge. I know how you and your family must feel each time when you think about your beloved Maggie. Throughout my life I have lost several pets myself. My heart goes out to you and your family. Hugs from Ontario Canada.

We didn't have a hard time naming ours because we saw the name Magdala was a port city on the Sea of Galilee. But when we have named other pets, we used a Baby Name book!

I've just typed into Youtube 'One Shining Moment' - as I wanted to listen to my favourite Diana Ross song. This video then came up.

I'm particularly moved by it as today is 3 years since my own dog, Millie, died. She was my little bundle of joy.

Through clicking on this video I believe an act of fate has taken place.

I miss and love you Millie. My angel.

Such happy pictures of a happy dog Those beautiful eyes. I know how it feels to loose a creature as beautiful as she was. Those loving eyes that follow you everywhere. That empty space in your house. That space that belonged only to her. But it gets easier as time elapses and she will live in your heart forever.
