@motorola374 When I sow them, I do sow them very thinly, so there is no need to thin them as they grow. Otherwise you just waste a load.

I can't wait till next year so I can get a better handle on planting. Although I enjoy fall planting the most!

@ILuvCaroline In the UK there isn't much you can plant in the Autumn. Mainly Broad Beans and Garlic.

How often do you have to water the spring onions?

@paularinah When they need it really. If the weather is very dry, then a thorough water twice a week is enough.

ok .. thanx for the quick response i will do that .. this year is my first year of vegetable gardening .. its been very good so far just eaten sum of my first radishes .. thanx again
