although i have nothing to compare this kettlebell to, the kaizen kettlebell seems like a solid and quality kettlebell which i ordered from budovideos.com.
The grip feels good but mine came with a scratch on the handle and i'm not sure how this will affect me.

I ordered the 12kg which is about 25lbs and it feels great, gives me a good workout. I'm about 5'4 at 155lbs, fairly healthy. i find the 12kg is perfect for me as i tried lifting a 16kg and i guess i'm not ready for it just yet.

all in all, it took me a long time so get a kettlebell because i was doing a lot of research on quality:price ratio and found the kaizen to be a very good buy. If you're just starting out with kettlebells and I know that you're having a hard time deciding with all these brands and price and shipping and all that, i would personally recommend Kaizen for your starter kettlebell and you decide if you stick with this brand.

My only caveat would be the shipping cost. I was charged about $20+change but the actual shipping cost is only about $10+change. Other than that, i'm satisfied with the item and shipping was very fast.

  • i would still recommend getting a 16kg for exercises like the swing, i remember when I got it first it's took me about 3 months of just plain swings and push presses, after which I could finally snatch it and TGU it.

thanks. yeah the 16kg would definitely be my next buy. I just wanted to get a feel for it but 16kg should be in my order soon.

  • Are these kettlebells single cast iron construction or is the handle welded on to the bell like the cheap gofit bells?
