There is more than can ever be conveyed, only discovered. In the confusion and laughter, beneath the music and the excercise through the alchohol and tobacco fumes and wrapped in freindship may you will find the heart of your kung fu.

There is a Fujian Kung Fu phrase which is "lian gong, he jiou, chang ge" which means roughly "train, drink, sing" - it is a BIG part of Yong Chun kung fu though not always practiced in that order.

This is an old clip I load so I can stream to my web site.

  • It is very good that you take interests not only in the martial arts but also in the people and their culture as well. Thanks for practicing/teaching real TCMA.

  • Thanks so much for the comment - I think they are inseperable as you take them 'out of the village' and the meaning of the arts changes so much. As a foreigner, there are many aspects that we cannot achieve, although we can have a role to play. Best Wishes, Martin
