TIME TO GET ALONE (Brian Wilson)
-----------------
I looked at you baby
And what did I see
I saw love in your eyes
Made me feel so warm inside

Now look at me baby
And what do you see
You see love in my eyes
Gleaming just for you

And now we know, it's
Time to get alone
To get alone
And just be together
We'll only be together
Come and do a couple days
Just a ways
Away from the people
And safe from the people

The pine-scented air
Smells so good in the snow
In our toboggan we'll go
Screaming down the mountainside

The touch of your cheeks
When they're rosy and cold
Feels so cozy to hold
Just to take you close
And make you warm and

Time to get alone
To get alone
And just be together
We'll only be together
Come and do a couple days
Just a ways
Away from the people
And safe from the people

Lyin' down on our backs
Lookin' at the sky
Looking down through the valley so
Deep and wide

Aren't you glad we finally got away
Glad we finally got away
Aren't you glad we finally got away

Now I looked around baby
And what do I see
I see love in your eyes
And I'm so glad that we
Finally had some

Time to get alone
To get alone
And just be together
We'll only be together

Come and do a couple days
Just a ways
Away from the people
And safe from the people

  • The BeachBoys were the greatest band ever. I am 25 years old and think that no band has even came close to matching the Beachboys. They had perfect harmonies and their songs represented all the best things in life. Even when Brian was depressed he still radiated joy and positivity in his songs, like H.E.L.P. Is On The Way, and Games 2 Can Play. They are our greatest national treasure, and their songs represent all that is good with humanity. Brian once said "music is God's voice."

  • Beautiful song and sound. They'll be listening to this 100 years from now...

  • Bless Him, Brian mastered everything from Rock & Roll to the Waltz. Totally a different class. But man, he had two talented siblings to back him up. Each of the Wilson's inspired me & my Bro too (I'm Dennis to his Carl just in case). This track is awesome, but even via 20/20, one struggles for a favorite? Love you guys for loving this. All the Best...

PS- you gotta view Brian's 'Love Is A Woman' (Live) if you haven't already - talk about genius?!

  • Musical genius

  • the story behind this song is trippy -___-

  • Sometimes, I feel like you people commenting on Beach Boys youtube videos understand me way better than my friends

  • Brian Wilson cannot be compared to contemporary composers, about the nearest time frame would be Gershwin but in my book he's on the level of Mozart.

His chord structures give me chills, every song I write, I try and think what would Brian do here....most of the time I can't

  • @craig8754 I would say that it's because the music melody carries the song. Brian was such a genius of music composition.

  • I'm sure that just as the the two I mentioned, these are good songs. But I was being generous to Denny when i said the songs were "good". I was speaking relatively. if you love "the boys" you will even give

bruce credit for Fantasy World and Disney Girls as a "good" song. Emotionally to a fan the songs you mentioned are good, but realy..they would barley at best crack the Top 100. So this is what I mean by good:, A SONG WITH HIT POTENTIAL( IF IT IS IN THE 3 TO 4 MINUTE FORMAT).

  • @theoleskule slip on through, cuddle up, got to know the woman, be with me, all i want to do. the unreleased songs, a time to live in dreams, fallin in love. His still unheard song "wouldn't it be nice (to live again)" is supposed to be his best, was for surf's up, but he pulled it. And this isn't even going into his solo album which is fantastic. "river song" was played by the boys first. that song is classic. it's a joke to say there's no good non brian tunes.

  • @rusty3610 ditto..The harmony chords were very complex at times.
