US Special Envoy, Derek Mitchell Meets with Daw Aung San Suu Kyi

Pro democracy leader, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi met with US Special Envoy for Burma, Derek Mitchell on Monday, September 12, 2011 talking about the country's prospects for development and change. Daw Suu says that Derek Mitchell's meeting with her was quite different from her meeting with John McCain, without disclosing details as to why.


In regard to the Burmese parliament releasing political prisoners, Daw Suu says that we just have to wait and see. On September 11th, Mitchell went to see Actor Kyaw Thu's clinic.
