It was an old Velcro Holster that I've had for years, but I replaced it with a Maxpedition Universal Hook and Loop holster. Keeps it secure. I hope you enjoy your Monsoon as much as I have. Thanks~

I actually just bought this pack after seeing your review. Does it seem like the CCW is on the wrong side to you or have I just not had enough time playing with it?

Can you adjust it to get it higher on the back so you can also put on a fanny pack like the sabercat versipack? that way you get even more pack space that you can slide up front for easy access. If you can, will that mess up the weight distribution and make it feel wrong?

I have the Monsoon in black. Its a great bag but would have preferred the zipper for the CCW/water bladder space to be on the other side making it easier to access your weapon without having to take the bag off. I was using it as an EDC for a while but since school necessitated the need for a laptop, I switched to the Camelbak HAWG. I also find it a little easier to organize than the tapered style of the Monsoon. Nice review though, I'm glad I found your channel.

Sorry Sootch, this pack is a dud. Very well made, but poorly designed. Maxpedition's Lunada is a much better sling pack.
