to be honest i´ve shot about 50.000 rounds with the hk g36 an i never had overheating problems

@agricola Its not standard issue by any means, but the G36 is still the "preferred rifle" when compared to the HK416 according to the German soldiers i encountered.

@2005ttr125 the germans dont use the hk416. its not standard issue anywhere in the bundeswehr.
