MicksGarage is on TV to demonstrate how the Hapro Carver roof box works. The Hapro Carver is the most innovative roof box on the market. MicksGarage is Europe's leading online retailer of roofboxes, roof bars, bike carriers, surfboard carriers, kayak carriers etc.

please remember that if you buy a roofbox and bars from us we will fit them free of charge at our premises in Dublin, alternatively we deliver nationwide and we offer free fitting phone support. Some things that you may need to consider when buying a roofbox are as follows.

Do I need a dual side opening roofbox? Double side opening roofboxes make life very easy when fitting the roofbox, removing the roofbox, loading the roofbox and accessing items in the roof box, with a single sided roofbox you will sometimes have to reach all the way across the car to find what you are looking for but with a double sided opening roofbox you can just check one side, if the item you are looking for is not there you can just close that side and open the other.

Dual side opening roofboxes come in very handy if you have a high sided vehicle such as a MPV, SUV etc. As these vehicles are quite high it is very difficult to work with a single sided box.

Dual side opening roofboxes are also very good from a safety point of view, it means that you can stop on either side of the road and you never have to put yourself in danger by standing on the road to access the box. This is even more important if you are going to be travelling to France or to any other destination in mainland Europe.

The only downside of dual side opening boxes is that they are more expensive than single side opening boxes. However the extra spend is well worth it because they are also much higher quality boxes and they all come with a 3 year manufacturers warranty as opposed to just a 1 year warranty with a single side opening roof box.

Rear opening boxes are shorter boxes and are designed for smaller cars, these boxes are best suited to smaller hatchback cars where access to the box is not restricted by a boot on a saloon car.
