SLAYER!!!!

You're a bit off with timing at the pre-chorus section everytime. But it sounds good anyway.

@DanteLeblanc A# and Bb are the same note.

Amazed by the heaviness. My favorite meshugah piece.

Tuning is open Octave Drop Bb 0.
Bb Bb Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb

Nice, that's six strings isn't it? What gauge do you have?
-
@Pustelnik88 It's B flat
-
its drop A#: A# F A# D# G# C# F A#, like 'standard' meshuggah tuning with 9th low string A# (F A# D# G# C# F A#) without highest string D#. It's sounds really tight with that really really low tuning :D

@AaronWelchMusic oh. that's a necessity lol
-
@HouseHoldGuy1 Good plan xD
Don't forget the key change for the guitar solo though :P

@AaronWelchMusic i'm not sure how correct my information is either (it's from Wikipedia :3)
i don't know. i don't really think we should focus on the tuning, but rather the awesomeness of MESHUGGAH
I just wasn't willing to believe they were playing the one chord the whole song I mistook unmuted notes for a semi-tone up. I was young.

What string guitar is that and what tuning?
LorenzoLaw989 3 years ago
That is a Ibanez Universe 7 string. I have tuned right down to GCgcfad (which is NOT what Meshuggah use at all).

From what I understand Meshuggah went down from F-Standard / drop-E that they used for the Nothing album and played in Bb2-Standard, an octave below regular B-flat tuning, on bass AND RHYTHM GUITAR in Spasm? I think the lead guitar to be in A#-Standard.

Oh perhaps you're right that would explain why it sounds so heavy.
