1984 Pontiac Fiero Heater Core Removal, Electric Car Conversion Project by Eco Steve. The heater core in the Fiero is located in the fire wall area at the left, the heater core will be removed and the core will be hallowed out to fit a ceramic heater that was removed from a small 120 volt ceramic cube heater. The core will then be wired and re-installed and wired to the main 72 volt battery pack and a relay will be placed on the fan switch that will only allow the heater element to turn on if the fan is going. Also the over temp switch that was in the cube heater will be installed on the core as a safety for overheating.

  • Thanks man!

  • Did you consider a fluid heater? Much easier install, though a bit more costly since you need a small pump.
