Despite of the financial turmoil being experienced throughout the world, a new business process outsourcing (BPO) center in the Philippines was formally opened today.

President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo led the inauguration of Startek International Limited in Makati. She also toured and inspected the operations of the facility which started in July.

Startek is expected to employ approximately 1,100 customer care representatives at full capacity. The continued investment of foreign corporation in the country is an indication of the persevering trust in the talent of the Filipinos.
