A few minutes spent watching traffic dance at the intersection close to the Cicero hotel, Kumasi, Ghana. I was there in Summer 2008 as part of IBM's Corporate Service Corps (CSC) initiative

  • NO traffic lights.....I love it!!!!....must be an insurance companies nightmare with accident claims.....This explains why they drive crazy when the come to Canada!

  • Hi! I was only there for a month so I can't say for sure whether accidents are a major problem. However, I didn't see any. I was impressed by the way that drivers cooperated at junctions like this -- they slow down, make eye contact, negotiate, and generally get where they want to go without aggression.

  • The taxi that stopped infront of you around 5:35 were talking to you. They said come on board...haha!!! akwasi broni

  • nice video

  • not even traffic police around? I was in the north (Tamale) where they had traffic lights (but almost never working) and in the weekends they used people to direct the traffic.

and the traffic in Accra is really horrible... no lights (or nobody who's paying attention) either on the crossings.
