I think I _recognize_ the style of upper-body padding....same stuff that was used in the _Human Weapon_ silat episodes, am I right? I wouldn't completely disregard the competitive/sparring silat just because it doesn't allow head or face hits with the hands. The body still gets punched and kicked, and you do see throws and sweeps. Even with the rules they have this still owns what I've seen of Tae KwonDo seven days a week, sorry.

Hahaha. People who insults silat over at youtube videos especially the one like this,dont really know whut silat is. This is the competitive/sports side of silat. It's not really effective in streetfight. Try to learn the ancient silat and see the difference. The real practitioner can knock a guy out in 3 steps. Or maybe 1.
