Jasper The Samoyed "Leave It"

Jasper demonstrates his "leave it" trick... he has amazing self-control for a puppy!
He learned this trick about two weeks ago, and he's perfected it now, so I took a video!

Taken on the day he turned 12 weeks old. (3 months.)

aw hes really cute and smart! ive had to sammys but they werent that smart! after living 3 years with a dog im gonna get one soon like in christmas shes supposed to be born really soon like the 14th of october and i hope my samoyed will be so talented like yours lol! :D oh and anyways how did you make him learn all that so well only by doing what you did in your vids like giving him treats when he obeys you and showing him how to do the things that you tell him to do?

Yeah I trained him by using the clicker + treats method. I only use positive reinforcement when training Jasper. I found it's been the best way, and he picks up on it VERY quickly. He's very smart. Repetition and clicker + treats is my recommended training method.

It should have been "they're" as in THEY ARE. Not "there" as in "over there."

Also, to clarify, I named my dog Jasper after a place in Alberta, which is called Jasper. Do you even know where Alberta is on a map? Since you clearly cannot spell, I'd be very surprised if you knew basic geography.

thats a very smart fuzzy and cute dog... but one thing why make him sit there and wait for u to say eat the treat for so long.. im pretty sure its like more practise but i feel bad for the dog to to stay there looking at the treat and wanting to eat it so bad and ur keep telling him to not eat it so he can pleaz u. well anyways great training

I've watched your videos on Jasper and really would love some advice on my 9 week old sammy. I'm not sure if Jasper has this problem, but my Samson gets barky during meals and even though I ignore him, then praise him once quiet, he's stil outta control.. how do you tell Jasper off for something wrong that he is doing?
