This vidclip is the opening scene from the move "Hundra", where the barbarian horde invades Hundra's Amazon village and slaughters the women, but not without the ladies putting up a stout resistance. • Why in the hell would any man want to just slay an intire village..... :) Ill try to rent it somewhere it reminds me of the battle in conan when he was a chlid - the Arnold version not that new age piece of crap !!

  • @vonShpitzberg Hi, glad you liked the movie. It's one of my favorites. Hundra is a fantasy movie, so anything goes as far as slayings. However, in the ancient world even through WWII, the total annilhation of a village wasn't unusual. The Roman Army and the German SS were famous for this practice. You may rent the movie at Netflix.

  • Sad Ending.

  • I can't wait to rent this Hundra movie! The barbarian invasion was totally awesome. The way the amazon women put up a fight against those horrid men was right on with me. I understand that the other battlescenes, where Hundra fights off the barbarians on horseback, and the final scene where she slaughters the men who murdered her friends, are also fantastic.

  • @bertoletti8912 First, you have to remember that this movie is a fantasy so there is some latitude in determining their etnicity. The setting appears to be East European but, according to the IMDB, the movie was filmed in Spain so that makes it tough. But, European Amazons were either Norse, Sarmatian, or Slavic. And, yes, no European warriors ever wore horns. But, as a weapons collector, the swords and spears appear to be of Slavic origin. Some of the women were horse-mounted.

  • @AmazonArtCollector what elements of their garments make you think that they were slavs? spears and swords were known to everybody.Women fought on foot because they were surprised and not because they didnt have horses. As far as I remember no warriors wore helmets with horns at a battle

  • @bertoletti8912 The actors spoke English and the movie was a fantasy. However, the male warriors appeared to dress and act like Slavs and their weapons appeared to be Slavic swords and axes. Female warrior tribes were known to exist during the early Slavic period. Since the women had no cavalry, I would rule out them being Sarmatians.

  • @AmazonArtCollector how did you figure it out that invaders were slavic? did they speak old-slavonic?

  • hilarious acting LOL

  • Fantastic movie clip! Wow, what an awesome battle between the fierce, brave, yet doomed Amazon warriors and those nasty barbarians. Rent the flick on Netflix as it's awesome.

  • this movie has just gone to the top of my netflicks list.

  • It makes sense if the Invaders were Slavic since Slavs were neighbors to Sarmatians and Sarmatian women were fierce warriors - considered Amazons by Greeks.
