For the last three years we've been monitoring Louroz Mercader and his political actions. He is truly a politician. This is NOT a compliment. Please note too that his interests in Youth tend to be limited to those who look good in photo-ops and how they may play positively in his ambitions to be elected a councillor.

If you want to hear what you want to hear, Mercader's your candidate. Plays the "I'm for fresh young ideas" card but is really a City-groomed Corporate extension of the status quo "Old White Boys".

Like so many others claiming to add diversity to the City, bottomline, Mercader is just "Old "Leave it to Beaver" Mississauga --pretending not to be "white".

  • PLEASE NOTE THAT MISSISSAUGAWATCH NO LONGER SUPPORTS THIS CANDIDATE.

His various websites state that Mr. Mercader is founder of the "Institute for Youth Citizenship; an organization dedicated to engaging youth in local government". When we Googled "Institute for Youth Citizenship" the only reference to it led directly back to Mr. Mercader stating that he is founder. Nothing else.

He is currently a Director of Safe City Mississauga as "founder of the Institute for Youth Citizenship".
