  • @avalsonline2 yep, looks like it was a joke or something.  That was Frankie Frish who was the manager so it was probably a promotion of some sort. Athletes knew how to promote themselves back then too ;-) It was definitely 1st base though.

  • Here's an example of why the St. Louis Cardinals have been such a great franchise. If not the best NL Franchise, because they know how to draft.
