A pansexual (pan meaning "all"), in terms of sexual orientation, is someone with the capacity to be attracted to someone regardless of their sex.

A polysexual (poly meaning "many"), is someone with the capacity to be attracted to many genders, but not necessarily all of them.

When referring to sexual attraction to multiple genders, polysexuality should not be confused with pansexuality; pan meaning all, and poly meaning many, though not necessarily all. Polysexuality is a self-identifying term that is somewhat amorphous, as there is a wide variety of different people who use the term to describe themselves.

@LameClock Question. I have always considered myself lesbian until I fell in love with a trans-woman. It is weird because guy parts weird me out, but I wont see her parts until after SRS so it's all good. I also wouldn't mind being with a bio-woman who is genderqueer, but probably not a bio-man who is gender-queer. Would the term polysexual be a good term for me?

I'm polysexual and my friend is pansexual. The easiest way to describe it using the prefixes. Pan or Omni meaning all and Poly meaning many. I'm polysexual since I like women and shemales but my friend is pan since he also likes men. There are other things that you can argue but in the end that is the simplest way to break it down. Poly- you like many but not all, Pan- you like all.

Hi am I too late? Haha no but seriously. Pansexuality is when you are open and are able to love any gender possible ex. Trans hetero homo bi. And every. Single other one.but polysexuality is being bi but having some exceptions of the pan. You won't necessarily fall for a les or bi but you might fall for a trans.so how I perceive It is that if you are pan you can love absolutely anyone regardless their gender.but a poly likes both guys and girls but also likes one or two other genders.hope it he

You have no shirt, lol! We talk about sexuality and having no defining lines of it in our book a lot, amongst other things. What if you're lesbian but you don't know it yet? What if you tried being homosexual but you just decided to be heterosexual? Do we not have free will? Do we have to define everything?
