Google Inc. announces the launch of Google Earth 5.0. This new version features ocean in Google Earth, and enables users of Google Earth to dive beneath the water surface, explore 3D underwater terrain, and browse ocean-related content contributed by leaders in ocean science and advocacy. The new version of Google Earth also introduces Historical Imagery, Touring and Google Mars 3D. With the new version users can dive into the ocean, travel back in time and visit Mars. Google Earth 5.0 Historical Imagery San Francisco An animated flight to San Francisco and a demonstration of the new 'Historical Imagery' feature, and visualize the construction of the new San Francisco International Airport (SFO) in Google Earth 5.0. When activated, the 'Historical Imagery' feature enables users to view older satellite images of the Earth and gain a sense of how areas have changed over time.
I know the OLDEST GOOGLE EARTH IMAGE. Search for Linwood, Ontario, Canada and the oldest imagery date for that town is 1930!
