Adelaide's Monarto Zoo in South Australia has been faced with the unusual task of hand-raising a spotted hyena cub. The hyena, Sabi, was taken from more... its parents about three months ago because they were being too rough with it. Since then, the zoo keepers have been carefully hand feeding and weighing the hyena each day.

  • Yes they are ; though, hyenas aren't really canines. Actually, they are genetically closer to mongooses and meerkats, and also share some similarities with felines. They are really unique creatures :)

  • This the most lovely hyena video ^x^

they are such misunderstood wild dogs.

    hyenas ;3

  • Aaaaaaw! So cute and adorable.

  • For once, it is good to see people act with kindness towards an animal which is usually victim of his popular (and totally erroneous) image. Hyenas are as essential as any other wild beast in the natural ecosystem. Very nice video !
