Minecraft - Redstone Tutorial 1 - Logic Gates

First we need to know the input and the output.
Input is where the power is supplied into, the output is the resultant.
The redstone wire at the side of a block is the input, supplying power into the block.
The redstone torch at the side of the block act as an output, giving power to something else.
There are 'on' and 'off' state. If it's on, we call it '1'. If it's off, we call it '0'.

Five Gates:
NOT Gate - Inverter. When input is '1', output is '0', or when input is '0', output is '1'.
OR Gate - Switch A and B. Either A 'or' B has to be turn on to open the door.
AND Gate - Switch A and B. Both A 'and' B are required to open the door.
NOR Gate - It is the combination of NOT and OR Gate. Basically, it is the opposite of the OR Gate. Either A 'or' B has to be turn on to CLOSE the door.
NAND Gate - It is the combination of NOT and AND Gate. Basically, it is the opposite of the AND Gate. Either A 'and' B are required to CLOSE the door.

@nevin221221 the blocks , torches and redstone recuired to open the door, is called a 'logic gate' .. its elektrotechnic stuff used in minecraft.. the name 'gate' itself has nothing to do with the door.. thats just a door..
