Thank you much for posting this lovely song. My grandmother just passed away on the 17th of March, and this was "our movie." I'm going to miss her so very much, but this reminds me of what a remarkable and gentle soul she was--an elegant old dame like Ethyl Thayer. Sadly, as Ethyl says, "Life marches by . . . I suggest you get on with it."

Thank you for posting this. One of my favorite movies of all time. Every time I hear that theme song, it brings tears to my eyes. Beautiful, touching, and haunting. I love it.
