  • Big respect to soulsleepers for a a very soulful post, much appreciated. This is a very under-rated tune from an excellent Omar album, thank you my man.

  • Love this song. Played it at my wedding, when we cut the cake.

  • @1Mellodee thank you very much my friend i will certainly google every single one :) i know i will never here anything like omar but if i can find something even close i will be very very happy. many many thanks again my friend :)

  • @lypluradon - I hear you! ( Lol)...Omar is in a class all his own...But you might wanna look @ Eric Benet's "True to Myself" CD, or the music of D'Angelo, Rahsaan Patterson, Eric Roberson, Shades of J, Conya Doss, Lucy Pearl, Angela Johnson, Liv Warfield, Darrius Willrich, KEM, Modern Groove Assembly, D-Sound, Jonas Soul, Remy Shaund, Deborah Bond, Stoney Ellis, Tasha's World, Vivian Green, Ja'meze, Goapele, etc.....Go Google up a few of these artists...

  • @1Mellodee yeah nu soul i agree with. but its nothing like rnb imho, and i agree he cant be compared to those, certainly in a quality perspective. omar is my music hero and i have hundreds of albums with countless different genres but no one else like omar. i dont suppose you could reccommend any similar ish artists for me to try out could you? i know they wont be as good but any funky music with a soulful singer would be magical to find :)

  • @lypluradon - Uh, no...that would be "Bluey" Maulnick ( from Incognito fame), James Taylor Quartet, etc...Here in the States we consider Omar to be the Nu Soul-Alt. R&B Godfather.....He's too Soulful sounding to be considered a Acid Jazz act...suggest you compare to Brand New Heavies, d'influence, Galliano, Quantic Soul, Brooklyn Funk Essentials, groups like that....IMHO

  • @DollfaceCouture just buy his albums from amazon, you can get all 6 from just over 20 quid and they are all very good!

  • @1Mellodee except its acid jazz but legend none the less :) no offence intended :)

  • This has become the favorite of my favorites......I take great pride in turning people onto Omar because 90% of today's mainstream music is trash. Instrumentation... pure vocals.....showmanship......he comprises that & THAT is what music is!! Add in the fact that he created his "musical lane" instead of duplicating another formula and he's certified in my book!

  • Tried to convert this song to MP3. It won't let me? DO you have it blocked?
