1000 x 8 reps Leg Press, 545 x 15 reps (Intro on leg press)

This is a short intro on how to do a leg press, a more detailed video will be made later.

First Set:

1000 pounds x 8 reps

Second Set:

545 pounds x 15 reps

Third Set:

135 pounds x 50 reps

I barely just hit 90 degrees, well most the trainers there tell me I get deep enough, I actually ask them sometimes if i go deep enough and they always tell me I do.

When doing a leg press bring your legs down into they are 90 degrees or basically and L shape.

For another good example of leg press form here is a video from bodybuilding.com:

  • bad form need to get those knees to your chest or it dont count

  • i have other videos going deeper, although i felt good enough going this depth as well, you don't got to go super deep to feel it, 90 degrees or slightly below it is more then enough at least for me anyways, also looking at ronnie colemans leg press video didn't exactly look like he went knees to chest either yet he was mr. olympia 8 years.

  • Good ROM. People always say blah blah blah touch your chest shit, but when I go that deep, my back starts to curl.

  • I say do what works some people gets results going super deep some get results going 90 degrees.

  • I'm not being rude just constructive I hope. After some 5 years messing with the leg press I came to the conclusion. It's a total waste of time. Until recently I had legs like a spider despite being able to leg press tons of weight. It just doesn't do anything. Try this, grab one plate and hold at chest level, just stand and squat so your ass almost hits the floor and back up. Go to failure for 3 sets and tell me how you feel the next day! Good luck ;)

  • Maybe it didn't do anything for you but it has done plenty for me, leg presses have helped my squats and deadlifts get stronger as well as develop fairly defined legs for my size, I train mainly for strength and power, I do squats and other stuff along with leg presses.

  • Have you ever tried to do one feet lef press. It's great, you should try if you haven't. And nice video! There's a lot of power in your legs!

  • Hay it's ok to do 565 with rep of 15, I mean I only 17 and doing my max of 890 and a normal set of 3 720lbs with a rep of 12 but hay it takes time
