They should have done some straight slow funk numbers. Using the speed of punk robs the bass of the feel, the swing. Punk rock was for kids with more energy than ability fucked-up on speed. These guys have (had - Johns gone) a lot more talent than that, I really don't now why they didn't evolve as much as other talented bands and experiment more.

I love the fact that he doesn't teach you anything. He just shows you some stuff. He and River Phoenix are friggin baked out of their minds. My tattoo artist has this whole thing on DVD. I've watched it and at one point River Phoenix nods off and then Flea has some white shit up his nose. It's friggin great.

I'm a Mark King's fan who's known for his machinegun thumb, but watch the left hand of master Flea on "get up and jump" ! Thanks for posting : the slow part will help a lot every Flea fans who try to play it (I'm the first). Flea's got his own style and I love it even though I've seen some people on youtube told that Flea was an average player... I confirm that he's one of the greatest.
