Not far from the Athens International Airport lies one of the last rural areas of Attica. The natural area around the ancient temple once a sanctuary dedicated to the goddess Artemis (Diana) is still beautiful and rich in wildlife, migratory birds in particular. However, the effects of the indifference of modern Greece towards environmental issues and of global warming pose serious threats for the future...
