It then dropped swiftly due to the lack of demand as the GFC bit. From June 2009 to December 2010 the price has been relatively steady $2.60 - $2.80. Leading up Summer 2011 the price climbed to around $3.90 per gallon. The price dropped towards Winter at $3.30 and has increased to $3.85 (lower than Dubya's $4.12)
