Part 2 - A dull, cloudy day plane spotting at the end of runway 33 (at Long Stay Car Park 1) at my local airport, Birmingham International, again on my own. I was very glad it was cloudy today of all days due to the fact that the sun ruined my take off videos last time, and also runway 33 was in use today for once due to the fact that there was a strong southwesterly crosswind affecting runway 15, meaning I could film much better videos and get some great close up photos from a variety of different angles. As Birmingham Airport is one of the very few airports in the UK that has a north/south facing runway, it is more prone to crosswinds. I have recorded a variety of departures and arrivals at the airport and taken pictures of them to go with the videos, and used my binoculars for the first time so I knew exactly what planes were approaching at the time :) As I spent a long time there and because the take offs take up a lot of time in the video, there are 5 parts to this video, please go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BtmkROHm2xQ for part 1, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMS5oPW5pAI for part 3, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hGUTdiDmTw for part 4, and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wcjda9pGsc for part 5.
Here is a list of the planes that can be seen in this video. If there are any mistakes please point them out:
1) Emirates B777-300 (Landing) and Flybe E195 (Take Off)
2) KLM B737-800 (Landing)
3) Air France CRJ-100 (Take Off)
4) Flybe E195 (Landing)
5) Ryanair B737-800 (Landing)
6) Eastern Airways J41 (Landing)
