I'm all for raising taxes on the rich. The problem is, there's a tax freaking CLIFF! And it's at the 250K level. I don't think it's fair for the upper middle-class/upper middle income families to pay the same tax rates as uber-billionaires without deductions as well. Why doesn't Obama create a linear tax plan where millionaires pay close to 50% and people making 500K-1M pay 40%, 250K - 500K pay 35%, and the middle class pays 20%, and the poor don't have to pay?
