Wonderful. JACKPOT. Realists. these are things I believe we all know somehow deep down but they don't surface into words or explanations so we get lost and confused on a daily basis. However that's it. Laurence said it...Realists are the true optimists and and the truly happy people. Honestly, being in a relationship helps but has NOTHING to do with your inner satisfaction or general well being....Its all about getting a right perspective and the word realist alone is a great start :)

Every happy person I've ever met is in a happy relationship. It seems to preclude happiness. I'd be much more convinced by a person alone who is happy and makes the same argument.

The Optimist is a great book!Recommended and interesting read. Laurence Shorter is casual and witty. We do live in " in the best possible world" :)

George is a pretty cool guy and you can tell he puts some thought into his interviews, but damn do i hate his radio show "the strombo show". he says the shows title more times then he says anything. Alan cross is the man.
