An excerpt from one of the finest German expressionist films of all time with music by the best English art rock band of the late 1970s. Spliced together in the days of DOS using very early audio editing software, two VHS machines and a 4 track mixing board.

  • Wow can't believe you could do this on DOS.

  • Don't be too impressed. My primitive PC was tied into the mixer for purposes of using a really primitive music player that had a spectrum analyzer / equalizer (displayed in single line numbers ranging 1 to 100) that allowed me to keep volume levels relatively constant. Another progam would give me the "counter" position so when I had to press pause on either the VHS or the audio tape, I'd not lose my place.

What used to take hours can be done in minutes now on a Mac.

  • This totally works. Two of my favorite pieces, and I never would've thought it, but they totally compliment each other! Great stuff.
