Patrick Woods and the Wechter Pathmaker Guitar

Patrick Woods of Winona Lake, Indiana, explains why he uses the Wechter Pathmaker Elite Guitar. This unique guitar was built by Abe Wechter in Paw Paw, Michigan. It's 22 frets to the neck, has a spruce top with mahogany back and sides. The pickup system is Fishman.

Woods is a guitar solo instrumentalist and composer who specializes in a fingerstyle playing technique. In September of 2006, Patrick was selected out of 4000 entries world wide to be the runner-up in Guitar Player Magazine's "Guitar Hero" competition.

Hey, sorry you had a bad experience with your pathmaker. Maybe you just need to try another one. I have a USA made walnut pathmaker that is one of the best guitars I've ever played. It has an amazing sound as well. Patrick Woods is also playing a Paw Paw USA made guitar.

I just purchased & received a Pathmaker Elite - since it said "Elite" i thought i was buying the top/best Wechter Pathmaker - turns out, it's a complete headache!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a left handed lace wood spruce wechter.... its is the best thing that has ever happen to me.! Highly recommend them.
