This young boy is a prodigy of the Korean traditional singing called Pansori. I don't really get the appeal, but it is pretty impressive stuff.

  • Aramaris, that is pretty ignorant of you so say that pansori, this king of music, is crap. I understand that this may be different to you so ket me educate you. Pansori is a traditional kind of Korean music; throat singing. A word of advise, before you go ahead and make fun of other people's traditions, think about how your words affect others and how ignorant comments make you look stupid. Thank you.

  • i don't know if you have any musical knowledge...but for myself as a musician i at least respect every kind of music!!

maybe i don't like that kind, but i have respect!!

and i like pansori...but stuff that called metalcore like slipknot....i don't like it, but i at least respect it...you understand what i mean/what i want to tell you...?

comments like yours don't show very much intelligence...don't let us think that you are unintelligent...it's your opinion...but you'd have at least respect!!

  • He is incredible!!!

  • Awesome!

  • That takes one heck of a set of lungs and a lot of discipline, I would guess.

    Chal handa!

  • This kid is good. I studied Korean "Gugak" for awhile and P'ansori is a major part of the traditional music culture.

It is essentially story telling. There are only a few stories that are told/performed in sections at a time. It is done in sections because one single story can take up to 10 hours to perform the entire presecripted vocal performance.

They are definitely hard for non Koreans to understand but do take a lot of skill, not to mention memorization.

  • this is a wonderful tradition, and although I myself am not an expert on pansori, from what i see from the comments, this kid is very good at his art

its a shame that so many people in the world and on youtube leaving negative comments are uneducated, unenlightened, and frankly are barbaric...
