In this video I show how to add Fastex Side Release Buckles to the main straps of an ALICE Pack with no sewing involved! You can buy the 1" webbing (price varies), 1" slides (30 cents each) and 1" double side release Fastex buckles ($1.27 each) from www.strapworks.com. This is a very strong, inexpensive and very useful modification for your ALICE Pack. It's also a very convenient modification because it's easy to adjust while buckled. Do it yourself at home and save some cash, gas and time.

  • I did this modification today but just a TINY bit different. Instead of new webbing, I left the little "nub" that keeps the webbing from going through the bottom buckle on. Instead, I cut a foot from the nub back and then attached my clip the same as you. The nub keeps the bottom in place and the adjuster holds the clip on. Almost the same as yours but cost me $0.88 and no new webbing needed. Great video for a great tweak to the ALICE Ruck.

  • great idea. but i'm already in wildness...where i can get those with out money? lol
