My three hens, 2008. A Rhode Island Red, a black Australorp, and a Barred Plymouth Rock. They are around three years old now and they still lay about one brown egg per day. TheCityChicken.com

i used to have 3 black Australorp chickens and i was very close and protective around them but they all died and i was very sad... :'(

You best check the laws of where you live, but I have chickens and the only rules are no more than 25 chickens and they must be 50ft away from an occupied house, in a residential area anyway. It's generally not illegal.
