Fire Emblem 3DS: Kakusei - Trailer

Fire Emblem: Kakusei (ファイアーエムブレム覚醒 "Fire Emblem: Awakening") is an upcoming tactical role-playing game developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS. Announced at a Nintendo 3DS press conference, it is an original game in the Fire Emblem series. It will have new features, but also retain elements from past entries.

Fire Emblem: Kakusei will have elements of gameplay retained from previous entries in the series, but will also have various new features. The game features a new option to perform a team-up attack with a supporting character. There is a traversable world map, like in Gaiden and The Sacred Stones, where you can enter battles or purchase supplies from locations on the map.

Any comfirmation on this being released in north america? They didn't give us the one after shadow dragon so I really hope they send us this... Restarted sacred stones after watching this trailer.

@DelfinitionHDTV Noooooooo! Shadow Dragon is a piece of.... well the only thing I'll say is that in the whole series the worst game for me is Shadow Dragon. In other words, I don't really recommend you to get it.

The art style is really bugging me. The movement sprites are chibi, and the battle models look mildly chibi as well. Not to mention the character design has gone from fairly authentic medieval characters to overly-generic anime characters with odd, unnecessary clothing.

But still, Fire Emblem is my favorite Turn-based strategy by far!

@Lyonharvestmoonfan I wouldn't be that sure. We didn't get Shin Monshō no Nazo, so there is a chance we won't get Kakusei. Besides, Nintendo has announced it has an European release scheduled, but no word on America.

Don't get me wrong, I WANT Kakusei to be released in America, but my disappointment with not getting Shin Monshō no Nazo prevents me from being optimistic.

My biggest concern is difficulty, It already looks way too easy, after beating H5 in shadow dragon and Thracia 776, I have to be challenged or else its no fun.
