That is just lovely! Excellent work, Mr. B! :^)

if this could be done as the original video on another song the results would be amazing. E.g. get rid of the straight borders, and have the balls fly further away from the action!

Fantastic idea, but i think the environment becomes interesting only at the end :/
good job and good programming

@NelionII All intentional. I kept the environment low-key to focus on the weird stuff that emerged from the video footage of the boys. The environment goes crazy at the end to give it the sense of build and explosion-of-craziness that all their videos have, and because the stuff they were doing in the video at the end was so busy it didn't look that interesting in 3D, so it was a reasonable time to pull your eyes away from it to the environment.

What was the render time?
JakeHammre 10 months ago
@JakeHammre My software "preview" mode let me render in real-time while I was authoring it, with instantaneous random seeking to anywhere in the movie. The final render ran at about 1-5 fps depending on the scene complexity (single-threaded on a Core 2 quad with an old GeForce 7300), and probably took about an hour. However, the shadows and antialiasing are pretty low-quality, which could be imprved with a longer render.
