It's because the player in possession has gone past all opposing defenders, so aslong as he doesn't pass to anyone in front of him there will be no offside calls.

As you can see in the video, Young passes to Rooney, when the ball leaves Young's foot Rooney is behind him, so he's onside.

Remember it's only offside if the pass goes to someone wondering around the defence line, but if the defence is beat the player with the ball simply can't pass to anyone infront of them

Can someone tell me what formation I should use? I have tried 433 for a long time now, and it doesn't work. Please keep in mind that I am playing career mode, and not online, so my players can't run as much
