A video of the now gone Toad Hole at Lightwater Valley. WHY IT CLOSED: This ride was removed due to the fact that it was old and unrealiable. But that isn't all. The boat derailed which made the closure of the ride earlier than planned. (WIth thanks to valleymania for information on why it closed)

@ThePoshGeordie Yes, the Lightwater valley wheel replaced this ride.

Toad Hole closed because it was old and had poor throughput. The plan was always to close it but a boat derail cut short what time it had left.
The condition of the splash pond didn't have anything to do with the removal.
