I want to live in a world... where I can give grapes to a grizzly and rub a rhino. Experience that world at Out of Africa Wildlife Park in Arizona. Thank you to all the students at NMSU Grants for working on this video with us. It is a preview of a longer documentary my wife Kim and I are working on about the special relationship people have developed with wild animals in captivity.

I want to live in a world where all these amazing creatures can be where they belong, and where I can watch them from an appropriate distance. In the wild!

Don't get me wrong, the animals in this video look well-treated, but the catpions really give a wrong impression. A world where I can feed a cookie to a giraffe is not a perfect world.

@turbotifi A lot of the animals there are rescues that can't survive in the wild. The idea with the park is that they give these animals the best possible life since they can't be returned to their habitats. Play, petting, etc. is used as enrichment to make their lives better rather than isolate them in cages.

To be honest, while watching it I almost cried as I read the words and the clips in it. This is so heart warming that I had just watched it a few times again and again.

@Michaelkm4 YES!!! animals are UNPREDICTABLE, because THEY ARE ANIMALS, NOT HUMAN. they cannot have the logical capabilities that we do. this is why you hear all the time stories of people who get attacked by a tiger or a wolf that they'd raised since its birth.
